Em - what else?

11/06/07 - Urubamba & Moray

An Inca agricultural site improbably called Moray ... which we obviously had to visit
In case no-one believes me

12/06/07 - Ollantaytambo

Another Inca site, at the unpronouncable Ollantaytambo
The ruins look better from ground level
Along the Sacred Valley towards Machu Picchu, where we really HAVE to go next

13/06/07 - Ollantaytambo

Ollantaytambo's an intact Inca village - all the streets are the ones the Incas put there
This is a modern building, in Ollantaytambo village, built on Inca foundations

14/06/07 - Machu Picchu

Yep, the photo that had to be
Milla (and other tourists) at the Inti Watana, sacred heart of Machu Picchu
We climbed up the big mountain behind the site, for better views
The place itself is mostly just walls
but mostly pretty intact walls - it's just the roofs which are missing

15/06/07 - Cuzco

There are kids all over Cuzco, dressed up and dancing for some festival
The Catholic Church built on the Inca site of Qoricancha - the curving front wall is Inca
In the evening we take in some folk dancing, of the whirling and jumping type

16/06/07 - Around Cuzco

We start the day with Milla making a new friend,
then an Inca ceremonial fountain site,
another strange religious site, cut into a big rock,
and end up at Sacsahuaman, overlooking Cuzco,
made of some seriously large rocks.
This photo's just for scale

17/06/07 - En Route
