06/11/06 - Delhi

The tomb of Safdarjung, one of the last Mughal style tombs: still in Delhi.
A contemporary Hindu temple to Lakshmi/Laxmi/etc., the goddess of wealth.

07/11/06 - Delhi

The walls of Tuqhlaqabad, one of the earlier incarnations of Delhi
Tuqhlaqabad was designed with defence in mind, and has good towers and stuff, and is good for rambling around.
Mr. Tuqhlaq himself is buried nearby.

08/11/06 - Chandigarh

Punjab's new capital, Chandigarh, mostly designed by Le Corbusier ... unfortunately.
Chandigarh's best attraction is a rock garden, not designed by Le Corbusier

09/11/06 - Amritsar

10/11/06 - Amritsar

The only real reason to come to Amritsar - the Golden Temple.
The nearby border with Pakistan, which features a near-hysterical display of racist and nationalist aggro when the border closes each evening.

11/11/06 - En Route

12/11/06 - Dalhousie

The foothills of the Himalayas, I suppose.
Dalhousie (part of).
Almost real Himalayas in the background ...
Just a cool picture of a monkey
